Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

The administrator of personal data is SOLAR COMPANY Spółka Akcyjna with registered office in Poznań, ul. Torowa 11, 61-315 Poznań, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court Poznań – Nowe Miasto and Wilda in Poznań, VIII Commercial Division, under the KRS number 0000385070, VAT ID no. How do we receive your data?

We receive your data during signing up in our online shop, registration in the Customer Loyalty Programme and in connection with the transactions (both online and offline) and the subscriptions you have made.

When, why and what data do we process?

1. Online shopping

1.1. In order to place an order in the Solar online shop, it is necessary to submit the following personal data:

  • Name and surname, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number.
  • If you wish to receive a VAT invoice, it is necessary to provide the company name, address and the VAT ID number.

1.2. In the event of a complaint or a withdrawal from the contract, if the payment has been made on delivery or via a traditional bank transfer, in order to receive a refund it is necessary to submit the number of the bank account to which we will send the refund.

1.3. In order to create a customer account and display order history, it is necessary to submit the following data:

  • Name and surname, email address, phone number.

To sum up, the personal data specified above is used to process your online orders and withdrawals from the contract, to send notifications about delivery status or in the event of any issues related to the services we provide. We will use your personal data to manage your payments. We will also use your data to process complaints and display order history, as well as any settings made after logging into the customer account and we will not use them for any other purpose.

Submitting the above data is voluntary, however, it is necessary to process your orders. If you do not agree to submit any of the data specified above, you can make a purchase in one of our stationary shops.

In addition, the law requires us to process your data for the purposes of tax and accounting.

We will store personal data only for a reasonable period, taking into account such situations as answering queries related to orders, solving problems and observing the requirements of the binding legal provisions. This means that we may store personal data for a reasonable period even if the interested party has stopped using the website. After this period, the personal data will be blocked in all our systems.

2. Offline shopping

2.1. Complaints

Your personal data, submitted voluntarily during making a complaint, is processed until the completion of the complaint procedure.

2.2. Transfer of products in the stationary shop

At your explicit request, we can transfer products in our stationary shops. For this purpose, it is advisable to submit the following data: name, surname and phone number used to notify you that the requested product can be collected. You can opt out of leaving your personal data, but then you are required to contact the store yourself.

The submitted data is processed until the completion of processing your order. Submitting the above data is voluntary, however, it is necessary to process your transfer request.

2.3. Customer Loyalty Programme

In order to participate in the Customer Loyalty Programme you need to submit your name, surname and at least one contact information (email address, phone number or correspondence address). You can also submit your date of birth. Submitting the above data is voluntary, however, it is necessary to participate in the Customer Loyalty Programme.

Participation in the programme enables you to subscribe to our newsletter or to receive SMS messages about new products and promotional offers by selecting the relevant fields on the participation form.

Your data is processed as long as you participate in the programme. You can withdraw from the programme at any time by writing to us at: kartasolar@solar.com.pl, by calling +48 61 871 69 95 or by submitting a written statement in a stationary store.

3. Newsletter

If you are interested in receiving information about new products, inspirations, and promotional offers from Solar Company S.A., you can subscribe to the newsletter on our website. When you confirm your email address and indicate that you agree to receiving information about new products and promotional offers, we will send you an email with a request to confirm your subscription to the newsletter. In this email, we will explain how we would process email address you have submitted. If you change your mind and no longer wish to receive emails from us, all you have to do is not confirm your subscription to the newsletter.

You can also cancel your newsletter subscription at any time by clicking on the link included in every marketing message you receive, by changing preferences on your customer account (if you are a customer of the online shop) or by contacting us: by email (e-sklep@solar.com.pl) or by phone (+48 61 871 69 85).

We will process your email address until you withdraw your permission to process your data. Moreover, if you do not open any newsletter for 1 year, we will assume that you are no longer interested in our offer and stop sending you further newsletters.

4. SMS

If you are interested in receiving information about new products, inspirations, and promotional offers from Solar Company S.A., you can subscribe to the SMS service on our website. You can also cancel your SMS subscription at any time by contacting us: by email (e-sklep@solar.com.pl) or by telephone (+48 61 871 69 85). We will process your phone number until you withdraw your permission to process your data.

5. Notification of product availability

The users of our website can subscribe to receive notifications about product availability. In order to use this function, it is necessary to submit an email address we will use to send notifications. The submitted email address will be stored in a database for 4 weeks from the date of subscription; after that period, it will be permanently deleted.

6. Contact form

If your use our contact form, it is necessary to submit your email address. Submitting your name and surname is optional. We store your data, along with the sent message. We process your data in order to contact you regarding your message.

7. We process your data for the purposes listed below, based on the legitimate interest of Solar Company S.A., i.e.:

  • Monitoring your activity and the activity of all users in order to improve the provided services and adjust the offer to the interests of the users of the website;
  • Adjusting advertisement to the content you have viewed on our website;
  • Contacting you for the purposes related to the permitted marketing activities, in particular, with your permission, via email and phone;
  • Providing access to payment tools available on the website;
  • Ensuring protection of the services provided by electronic means;
  • Conducting studies and analyses of functionalities of the online shop in order to improve the services and adjust them to the preferences of the users;
  • Statistical analyses;

How do we protect your data?

Your personal data is stored using secured networks and is available only to a limited number of persons with special access authorization to the said systems.

Who has access to your data?

You have the right to request to rectify, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data or object to data processing, as well as the right to move the data. In addition, you have the right to obtain a confirmation from the administrator that your data is processed.

You also have the right to oppose to processing of your personal data, as well as to restrict the use of your personal data for marketing purposes.

If we have obtained your consent to processing your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Do we use your personal data automatically (including profiling)?

Your personal data will be processed automatically (including profiling), however, this will not have any legal effect on your rights. Profiling of personal data by Solar Company S.A. is the automated processing of your data in order to specify certain information about you, such as personal interests or shopping preferences. Such analyses enable us to better adapt our offer to your needs.

  • GUEST-VIEW – Determines if guests can edit their orders.
  • LAST_CATEGORY – The last category visited by the shopper.
  • LAST_PRODUCT – The most recent product viewed by the shopper.
  • NEWMESSAGE – Indicates whether a new message has been received.
  • NO_CACHE – Indicates if the cache can be used to store information.
  • PERSISTENT_SHOPPING_CART - A link to information about the shopper's cart and viewing history.
  • RECENTLYCOMPARED - Items recently compared b the shopper.
  • STORE – The store view or language chosen by the shopper.
  • USER_ALLOWED_SAVE_COOKIE – Indicates if the shopper allows cookies to be saved.
  • VIEWED_PRODUCT_IDS – The products recently viewed by the shopper.
  • WISHLIST - An encrypted list of products added to the shopper's wishlist.
  • WISHLIST_CNT - The number of items in the shopper's wishlist.

Each cookie file listed below contains pseudonymised data, which cannot be directly linked to the customer.

2. Statistical cookies are used for analytical purposes by Google Analytics:

  • __ga – helps to determine the number of users on the website
  • __utmz – contains an information about how the user was directed to the website
  • __utma – contains an information about the number of page views of a given user
  • __utmb – contains an information about the time of visit on the website and the browsing time
  • __utmc – contains an information about the time of visit on the website and the browsing time

Cookies enable us to use a technology for providing advertising information to those users who have already visited our website.
